Please welcome the new teaching staff to Ditton Park Academy.

flatley Geraldine Flatley  Business Studies

I graduated from Sheffield University in 1989 with a BA Hons in Ancient History & Classical Archaeology. I worked in the media thereafter as a Marketing Manager. I retrained in 2009 and graduated from Liverpool John Moores with a PGCE, QTS and 60 M credits from Liverpool John Moore's University. Since graduation I have taught mostly in London/Surrey.


Stuart Hartley


BSc Hons (Geography) and MA (Environmental Philosophy) at Lancaster University, PhD (Historical Geography) Edinburgh University, MA(Ed.) (Education) Oxford Brookes University.  Trained PGCE (Secondary Geography) Exeter University.  Taught Gosford Hill School, Kidlington, Oxfordshire 2004-2011 and Everest Community Academy, Basingstoke, Hants 2011-2016(Head of the Humanities Faculty and More-able student co-ordinator 2014 onwards).

Matthew Wade


I have just completed my teacher training PGCE while working at St. Andrew's Catholic School in Surrey through the University of Buckingham. Before that I studied Sports Coaching Science at St. Mary's University in Twickenham.



Mundeep Purewal

Assistant Principal

I have a BA Honours degree in English Literature completed at the University of Hertfordshire in 2001 followed by a PGCE in 2002 at the University of East London. I have taught English and Media Studies in secondary schools in Feltham and Bracknell. I have had experience in managing the English department and whole school roles including: Federation Leader, Director of Teaching and Learning, Literacy Lead, School Coordinator and English Lead Practitioner. 


Isabelle Fatoux


I have studied at the university of Dijon in France and graduated in June 1996 ( Languages BA). I completed my PGCE in Reading university in July 1997.  I have worked as a Modern Foreign Languages teacher in John O’Gaunt Technology College ( Berkshire), Everest Academy ( Hampshire) and in RSSKL ( Hertfordshire).


Sarah Instone


I have a BA in Drama and English from Brunel and a PGCE in English with Drama from the Institute of Education.  My career, spanning over twenty years, has been dedicated to teaching English in schools across Slough including Slough and Eton, Herschel Grammar and most recently St Bernard’s Catholic Grammar School before joining Ditton Park Academy.

Drew Daly


Studied Secondary Physical Education with Qualified Teachers Status at The University of Bedfordshire.  Completed my Newly Qualified Teacher year at Bentley Wood High School for Girls and over the last two years I have worked at The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust.


Aaron Oliva


Graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2005 with a 2:1 in History and Politics (BA) Hons, along with a PGCE in History.  I have been teaching since 2005, with 7 years spent as a Head of Year, whilst the last two years have been as a Head of History.


Drew Fermor


Graduated from Middlesex University in 2001 with a BA in Design Technology with QTS (2:1).  I have been teaching at Reading School since September 2001 in various roles but more recently as Teacher of Design Technology and Physics.

Sanjeev Kumar


BSc (2:2) Subjects taken; Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Punjabi and a Bachelor of Education (2:1) with a specialism in Physic and Maths both at Guru Nanak Dev University Punjab, India from 1994-2000.

I completed my PGCE in Education in 2005 at University of East Anglia, Norwich.  I have been teaching at Rivers Academy West London since 2005 in various roles but more recently as Head of Physics.


Farah Ahmed


I have a BSc in Biochemistry (2:1) completed at Brunel University in 2010 followed by a PGCE in 2014 at Goldsmiths University of London. I have taught at Nightingale SEN School, Harlington Secondary School and Barnhill Community High in Hayes. 


Mahwish Khushi

Business Studies

I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2007 with a BA Hons Marketing Degree.  I completed my Teacher Training in 2011 with The National College for Teaching and Leadership.  I have been teaching since 2009 at Slough and Eton Church of England Business and Enterprise College.


Ngozi Anwuri


Graduated from University of Glasgow in July 2003 with BSc (Hons) in Mathematics & Statistics.  Gained an MSc in Actuarial Science from Cass Business School, University of London in 2005.  I completed my PGCE at the Institute of Education (IOE) UCL London in July 2007.  I have taught at Capital City Academy, Bentley Wood High School and most recently at Arts and Media School in Islington as Deputy Head of Maths.
