No 81 Bus Route
Following on from complaints from parents to us and the on-going complaints from the school to the bus company please find below their reply.
"Dear Ms Jones
Thanks for your email of 27 September about the drivers of a route 81 buses failing to allow children on board in the mornings. Please accept my apologies for the delay in replying to you.
I’m sorry that drivers have failed to let some of your pupils board the bus despite there being room. I appreciate that you’ve taken the time to write to us once more about this matter.
We expect all drivers on our routes to stop the bus and allow any intending passengers to board. It’s disappointing that some drivers have failed to follow this basic procedure of late.
I can assure you that I’ve been in contact with London United, the bus operator responsible for running route 81 services on our behalf, about this particular issue. Clear instructions have been given for London United to take corrective measures where possible to ensure that all route 81 drivers are following the correct bus stopping procedures at all times.
In future, should your pupils experience similar issues in future, please contact us again with specific details. These can include the date and time, bus stop, driver description and registration number.
Once again, please accept my apologies for the delay in replying to you.
Thanks again for contacting us. If there’s anything else I can help you with, please contact us again. Alternatively, you can speak to one of our Customer Service Advisers on 0343 222 1234, who’ll be happy to help."
We will continue to monitor and contact the company regarding the untenable situation and but would also encourage parents to do the same giving the details above.
