A-Level Results day 2023

A Level Results Day 2023

Ditton Park Academy is pleased to report some excellent results by its students in their A levels and vocational qualifications this summer 2023.

This cohort has shown remarkable resilience over the last few years, not only with the general COVID disruptions, but particularly as this is another year who missed sitting their GCSE exams in 2021. We are delighted for them as their outstanding grades gives them a strong basis in which to launch into the next stage of their education and careers.

The specialist knowledge and dedication of our amazing staff, including our outstanding Post 16 team has been a key factor in students applying for and gaining such fantastic opportunities, including top Russell Group universities.

Our teams have also worked hard to ensure all students have also been successful at securing their future aspiration whether this is further courses, apprenticeships, or skilled employment.

Some particularly notable individual successes include:

  • Poppy Jacobs – 3 A* grades and an A* grade in their extended project (EPQ)
  • Felix Glanville – 3 A* grades and an A* grade in their extended project (EPQ)
  • Aarun Sihota – 2 A* & 1 A grades and an A* grade in their extended project (EPQ)

Whilst all of our students have made excellent progress from their GCSEs to A levels, we would also like to highlight the following students who have made the most progress:

  • Adam Rajput
  • Rehan Ajaib
  • Delia Roman

This year, for the first time since 2019, grades were assigned not only based on the students’ performance but also on the full exams specifications. Ditton Park students rose to this challenge with maturity and dedication which should stand them in good stead for any future endeavours. Students and staff’s hard work has paid off with 56% of grades matching or exceeding their targets.

Principal Nick Caulfield, expressed his delight in the efforts of all staff and our students’ achievements:

“Our students and staff have once again worked incredibly hard and showed amazing resilience and commitment to achieve these results in the most challenging of times over the last few years.

We are very proud of how they have coped with such challenges and disruptionOur staff have worked tirelessly to ensure students are all able to progress onto skilled employment, apprenticeships, and higher education to continue their studies, and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future.”

Senior Assistant Principal, i/c Exams, Data & Progress, Luke Cameron was delighted with the spectacular results students achieved:

“As one of the cohorts who saw their GCSE exams disrupted, it is especially pleasing to see the mature approach this year group has took to their exams this summer. It is clear that this approach has been rewarded with a great set of results for both vocational qualifications and A-Levels.

It was wonderful to see such strong results across the board, students and staff alike should be proud of all that has been achieved over the last two years.”
